Since the time I learned my alphabet, I wrote stories. Even before that, I told stories with stick figures or baby speech. The first piece I ever wrote with pen and paper was about a hippo who controlled the weather. I plan to revisit that fiction someday. Since then I've developed as a writer, contributing to blogs, writing critiques of movies and music, and composing winning poetry for slams.

I study Philosophy with a specialization in Literature. When I tell people I'm a Philosophy major, I get the same scoffing look, a look of both pity and condemnation. However, this field, ripe with the aesthetic principles I use to judge movies and music, is the same field in which the highest forms of art are imbued with. From The Brothers Karamasov to the Matrix, these popular works, withstanding the scrutiny of time, are embellished with philosophical undertones that both entertain and warrant critical consideration. My ultimate goal is to be a writer of works that mimic and expand on those kinds of stories. Knowing the philosophy enriches those stories I create.
